From 18 to 23 September, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Foundation (AZPROMO)will organize seminars for local businessmen through the support from TACIS of European Union. The seminars are aimed at supporting the local business people in increasing the export of their products and attracting investments, Director of AZPROMO Ivents & Publicatoins ltd Emin Zeynalov told a press-conference held in Baku on September 18. It will lead to the expansion of the co-operation between AZPROMO and entrepreneurs.
According to the Head of the Secretariat of the State Program for Social-Economical Development of Regions of Azerbaijan Agajan Ahmadov, more than 3,000 enterprises have been created in the regions of Azerbaijan after the adoption of the program, Trend reports. Today all efforts are made to create export-oriented enterprises in Azerbaijan. The key problem is imposed by the absence of the information about the products demanded in other countries and staff training for the production of products for export. This seminar is very important because the newly created enterprises have been functioning for nearly two years and therefore they produce one product that is not demanded in foreign countries, Ahmadov stressed.
In addition, he recommended the organizers of the event to attentively select the regions to hold such seminars in order not to conduct them in same regions.
Next seminars will be held in Lankaran (19 September), Ganja (21 September) and Guba (23 September).
During the seminar the experts of the Czechian National Agency for Investment Attraction Robert Heyzak and Yana Falatova held presentation on the topic How is it possible to become partner of the joint ventures? and How is it possible to turn into an exporter to the countries of European Union: classification and standards, approaches.
The TACIS project for support of AZPROMO intended a series of activity directions, and assistance to the potential exporters is one of the key directions, said the Head of the Working Group for the realization of TACIS project Jan-Clod Rave. Mentioning the successful implementation of the project, Rave voiced his confidence that the seminar will be very useful for the local businessmen.
