Azerbaijan`s Ecology and Natural Resources, Agriculture and Health Ministries have completed the next monitoring on prevention of penetration of bird flue virus to the country. During the droppings monitoring held in the Absheron Peninsula, the National Parks Shirvan and Aghgol, State Reserve Gizilagadj, no signs of the disease were detected, Trend reports referring to a message spread by the Ecology Ministry.
Totally 43 individuals of birds were sent to the State Veterinary Laboratory.
The results of the droppings monitoring are expected to be made public by the State Veterinary Service within the Agriculture Ministry in the first half of October 2006.
