Georgia Realizes New Grain Delivery Route: Astana-Baku-Tbilisi

According to the Association of Grain and Bread Products, the wheat import from Russia will be replaced with supplies from Kazakhstan and Black Sea countries. At present Georgia possess the grain reserves for 2.5 months, the President of Association Arkadi Mikvabishvili told Trend.

He stressed that the Georgian Embassy in Azerbaijan hold negotiations regarding activation of the new wheat delivery route Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan-Georgia.

According to the head of the Association, the replacement of the grain supplier will not lead to the increase of then prices for bread. Georgia consumes 1,200 tons of wheat per day.
