Ford Australia FPV launches Force performance sedans

(autoinsidernews) - At the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney, Ford Australia debuted its two new high-performance luxury sedans. Ford's Australian performance arm, Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV), has created the Force 6 and Force 8 sedans. Both model are based on the Australian Ford Falcon family sedan.

The introduction of the Force 6 and Force 8 models will set the standard for locally produced, luxury high performance cars, said Sak Ryopponen, Managing Director for Ford Performance Vehicles, reports Trend.

The Force 6 is powered by a 4.0L turbo in-line six that produces 362-hp and 405 lb.-ft. of torque. Speaking of which, the Force 8 is powered by the 5.4L Boss V8 producing 362 HP and 405 lb.-ft. of torque. Both the Force 6 and Force 8 feature a ZF six-speed automatic, 19-inch wheels, limited slip differential and a sport-tuned suspension. The front brakes can be upgraded to 6-piston Brembo brakes.

We continue to be amazed that Ford markets outside of North America continue to get the products that would be hot sellers in the States. And is there any wonder why Ford's sales are down.
