Nissan announces prices for all-new 2007 Altima

(autoinsidernews) - Nissan today announced pricing on the all-new 2007 Nissan Altima which is built at the automaker's plant in Canton, Mississippi. The 2007 Altima will have a base price starting at $17,950 for a 2.5L four-cylinder engine with a 6-speed manual. The base Altima powered be Nissan's VQ-Series V6 has a starting base price of $24,000. Pricing for the Altima Hybrid will be announced later, reports Trend.

The Altima 2.5 provides an incredible value for the money, with its starting MSRP only $200 more than the model it replaces despite the new exterior and interior design, enhanced handling and performance, user-friendly technology and numerous other refinements, said Bill Bosley, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division. The new Altima follows the tremendous consumer response and sales success of the previous generation. No longer just an alternative in the segment, it has now become a true leader.

The new Altima is available in four other models: the Altima 2.5 S with 6-speed manual transmission starting at $19,800; the 2.5 S with CVT at $20,300; the 3.5 SE with CVT priced at $24,500; and the Altima 3.5 SL with CVT at $28,400.

The 2007 Nissan Altima goes on sale this week at retailers nationwide.
