In October 2006, the production prices for the agricultural products in Azerbaijan got more expensive by 4,2% as comprised with the previous months, and by 17,3% as comprised to December 2005. The price index for the products of greens and melon families equaled 106,5% in comparison with September, Trend reports quoting the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. For the reported period, the production prices for vegetables have increased by 5,6% and for grain 9%.
In addition, the price index for the cattle breeding equaled 102,6% as comprised to previous months. The price for livestock and its products was raised by 5,9%, lam decreased by 3,5%, and the prices for poultry and eggs remained stable. The prices for the fish products decreased by 8,1%. The forest economy remained stable.
