(autoinsidernews) - Volkswagen today announced that it will end production of the Golf at its Brussels factory, and may reduce the workforce at the plant as part of its plan to reduce costs. VW will transfer production of the Golf to plants in Mosel and Wolfsburg, Germany.
Volkswagen intends to keep the Belgian plant open, with as few job losses as possible. The automaker has too much production capacity in Europe, which means its factories are not running at full capacity. Volkswagen said that future growth will be in Russia, China and India, reports Trend.
