Ford considering bring Euro products to U.S.?

(autoinsidernews) - For years, Ford has said it had no plans to bring its European vehicles to the U.S., despite the pleas (even begging and whinning) of consumers and analysts. The consensus is that Ford's European range is better designed and built than Ford's U.S. offerings.

Now, Ford is considering plans to bring its European offerings to the States as soon as next year, including the European Focus, the all-new Mondeo, and the S-Max and Galaxy people movers, according to reports in U.K. trade publication Just-Auto citing a Ford spokesperson. No additional details were given, and no plans have been finalized, but Ford has confirmed that they are looking at the models, reports Trend.

Ford's Way Forward restructuring plan has been pitched as a product driven turnaround. If it truly is product driven, then the superior products from Europe could help jump start sales for Ford.
