Alan Bryden, the Secretary General of the International Standardization Organization (ISO), is expected to arrive in Baku with a working visit by the invitation of the State Agency for Standardization, Metrology, and Patents on March 1-2, 2007, Trend reports.
During the visit, he will hold meetings in the Cabinet of Ministers and a number of Ministries and state agencies of the Country. In addition, a round table discussion is expected to be held with the participation of representatives of foreign diplomatic representative offices in Baku and state offices.
The key aim of the visit of the Head of ISO to Baku is to get acquainted with the current situation with standardization in Azerbaijan, determination of perspectives on development of cooperation.
Azerbaijan became the full member of ISO in 2003.
