Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr / Hamad Buamim, the director general of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reported in Dubai during the workshops dedicated to investment climate and business opportunities of Azerbaijan, that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are interested in economic and commercial cooperation with Azerbaijan. Buamim voiced his satisfaction with the rise in the commercial turnover between the countries and noted that cultural and geographic proximity of the two countries offers good facilities for the expansion of economic cooperation.
The head of the Azerbaijani delegation, the chairman of Supervisory Board of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Foundation (AZPROMO), Chingiz Asadullayev reported that both the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economic Development and AZPROMO are interested in holding a business forum in Baku. The business delegation headed by Buamim has been invited to Azerbaijan for this purpose.
The officials from the Chamber and about 40 businessmen were in attendance. They were informed on the development prospects and economic development of the country, along with investment climate and business opportunities of the projects implemented by the Azerbaijani Investing Company.
Private meetings between the businessmen were held and cooperation prospects were discussed within the framework of the seminar.
Initiated by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the UAE, workshop was held with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan and AZPROMO.
