Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend . corr. U.Ismailova / The Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AIF) reported on 4 May that it has allotted 1,000 credits with the amount of AZN 36mln since March 2006, including 700 credits financed by the Fund.
The number of the loan made up 45 credits with total amount of AZN 137mln. Seventy-six credits worth AZN 2mln were allotted throughout the country. Couples who were recently married made up 70% of all the beneficiaries.
The AIF is involved in the distribution of mortgages through 23 agent banks and the Government allocated AZN 26mln in 2006 to AIF in this respect and this sum will comprise AZN 20mln in 2007.
