Date of Bilateral Negotiations between Azerbaijan and EU within Entrance to WTO Confirmed

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The date of the bilateral negotiations between Azerbaijan and European Union within Azerbaijan's entrance to the World Trade Organization (WTO) has been scheduled for 24 May in Brussels. The negotiation group of Azerbaijan will be headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmud Mammadguliyev. The delegation includes representatives of the State Customs Committee, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Economic Development.

The negotiations with the EU focus on the conditions in the sector of commodities and services. "Up to now, general agreements have taken place, but during the bilateral negotiations, concrete discussions will be organized on the issues that are of interest for the EU," mentioned by the negotiations group. Presently negotiations have been completed with Oman, Georgia and Moldova.
