Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / A meeting of the Azerbaijani experts with the leading experts of the World Bank (WB) was held on 21 May at the office of the Public Finance Monitoring Centre NGO (PFMC) within the framework of the Credit Projects Monitoring project.
A WB purchase expert on South Caucasus, Carl Scansing, and the leading expert of WB on Azerbaijan, Kristos Costopolus, shared their ideas on the efficient implementation of the monitoring of credit projects of the Bank. The experts noted that the Bank promoted the co-operation with the local NGOs and would offer any assistance to the expert group in monitoring the WB's credit projects.
Discussions on the possible participation of the local NGOs in implementing the WB's projects were held during the meeting. The representatives of the Bank noted the necessity for an agreement of the beneficiaries.
