Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Khalilova / In 2008 the European Commission plans to revise the execution of commitments on the national plan within the European Union's Neighborhood Policy that was adopted at a meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Council of Cooperation in Brussels on 14 November 2006.

Erkin Gadirli, the representative of the Committee on Integration into Europe, said on 24 May that the revised results of the plan in the first two years can be reconsidered at the decision of the Azerbaijani government. The plan covers the period 2007 to 2013.

As a priority for integration into the EU, Gadirli attributed free exit to the European markets, progressive participation in the EU policy and programs, measures on joint security, support to the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the rehabilitation of the territories after their liberation.

A draft indicative program for Azerbaijan in 2007-2010 is under the discussion with the EU. The total budget of the program is €92mln.

The European Commission carries out financing within the framework of two programs Tacis and MEDA.
