Georgia Presents Possibilities of New Transport Passage at World Chamber of Commerce and Industry Congress

Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The fifth world congress of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) was held in Istanbul. The Georgian CCI has reported that the Georgian delegation headed by Jalmal Inaishvili, the President of the Georgian CCI, and Giorgiy Kakabadzeh, the Director General of the Chamber attended the congress.

Inaishvili delivered a report on the possibilities of transport passage and the role of the CCI in implementing projects on truck transit. Inaishvili specifically focused his attention on trucks transporting goods from Europe to Asia via the Caucasus region.

At the end of the conference, participants stated the necessity to deepen cooperation among the CCI, which contributes to development of trade relations among countries.

The next conference involving CCI's heads will be held in Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia in 2009.
