State Customs Committee Announces Volume of Commodity Turnover with CIS Countries
Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend / From January to June 2007, Azerbaijan imported goods from CIS countries in the amount of $894,480,900. This is 36.45% of the total volume of import of the country, the State Customs Committee stated.
Within this period, Azerbaijan exported goods to CIS countries in the amount of $512,702,900 (20.25% of the total export of the country). Import and export operations between CIS countries ended with a balance of $381,778,100 in the red.
Azerbaijan exported mainly sugar, sweet confectionery goods, oil products, chemical substances, animal and vegetable oils cotton, and vegetables to CIS countries.
The country mainly imported mineral fuel, grain-crops, equipment, mechanical plant equipment and ferrous metals from CIS countries.
