Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / According to the CIS Statistics Committee cargo transportations by transport enterprises (without pipelines) in the CIS countries increased by average 6% in the 1st half of 2007, compared to the same period of 2006 (7%), goods turnover increased by 8% (4%).
The largest increase in cargo transportations was in Tajikistan - 119.1%. Cargo transportations in Moldova and Kyrgyzstan increased by 16.5% and 16.3% respectively, in Armenia and Belarus by 6.7% and 6.7% respectively. In Ukraine cargo transportations rose by 13%, in Kazakhstan by 5.7%, in Russia by 4.6%.
Cargo transportations decreased in Azerbaijan, where the volume of transportations made up 99.7% compared to 2006. Goods turnover also decreased in Azerbaijan to 89.7% compared to the 1st half of 2006.
