Four Educational Institutions Privatized in Azerbaijani Ganja City

Azerbaijan, Ganja / Trend corr V.Mammadov / Out of twenty-four facilities that have been put forward for privatization in Azerbaijani Ganja city, fifteen are educational institutions. Four of them have already been privatized, including Children's Home 1, Kindergartens 6, 12, and 16, according to Ganja City State Committee on State Property Management. According to the information, the certificates on privatization have to be submitted to the State Committee within a month. Afterwards, in compliance with the terms of privatization, repair work will begin in the privatized facilities.

According to the State Committee, the establishments will be privatized by a labour collective. The head of the Ganja City Education Department, Mahal Aliyev, said that the allocation of funds to the privatized facilities by the Ministry has been suspended.

Under the presidential order dating to 23 August 2006, envisaging privatization of 1,635 health, education, sports, and culture facilities, twenty-four facilities had to be privatized in Ganja. Corresponding documents were developed last year and were sent to the State Committee on State Property Management.
