Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Rovnag Abdullayev, is not excluding the construction of the new oil pipeline within the territory of the country for transporting Kazakh oil.
"If the transporting volume of Kazakhstan oil, via the Azerbaijani territory, is to exceed a certain figure then the plan on construction of the new pipeline from Azerbaijan to Georgia will be considered, SOCAR's president said.
Kazakhstan may transport from 20mln to 60mln t of oil per year via Azerbaijan. Some 20mln t of oil per year can be transferred via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.
Kazakhstan may construct a new pipeline in Azerbaijan and Georgia for transporting oil to world markets, Arman Darbayev, the Executive Director of the KazMunayGas company, said.
