Azerbaijani Energy Company Concludes Deal on Construction of New Power Station in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend / The Finnish company Wartsila concluded a €38mln deal with the Azerbaijani joint stock company Azerenerji for the construction of a 104 MW module power station in Guba District, Azerbaijan.

Wartsila will prepare a design of the module station, supply equipment and control over the installation and work of the station over the subsequent two years.

The power station will be built by the end of 2008.This module electric power station, similar to the Baku module power station, is comprised of 12 modules with a capacity of 8.7MW Their total number is five.

The new station is allocated for the energy supply of the Azerbaijani regions where winter sports will be developed. It is planned that a new ski resort will be built there.

To ensure these regions have enough power a new 100KW substation and electricity transmission line will be built.
