Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / In December 2007 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) passed Azerenrgy company 386,1mln cu m of gas to produce electric energy on electric, SOCAR reports. Totally Azerenergy was passed 2bln cu m of gas in 2007.
The schedule for gas operations between state companies has been changed since April 2007. SOCAR sells its gas to Azerenergy. Previously, SOCAR implemented the operation through Azerigas.
SOCAR sold gas to Azerigas for AZN 42 per 1,000 cu m, which the company needed for energy processing.
Azerigas transports gas to electricity stations.
