Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 January / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / The Azerbaijani Government will approve the fuel-energy balance of the country for 2008 by the end of the week.
"The oil, gas and electric energy production volume have been defined, but only the distribution process has been remained undecided. The issue will be settled in the near future," the State reports.
The main balance index is the gas volume for the next year, including the volume of gas, which Azerbaijan will produce from the Shah Daniz field, volume of casing-head gas, which the Azerbaijani International Operative company to transport to Azerbaijan from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field, as well as increase of oil production by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
The gas balance is relevant in connection with its export to Georgia. The Azerbaijani Fuel-Energy complex stated that the gas export to Georgia would depend on gas balance in Azerbaijan and free volume for export.
