Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 March /corr. Trend A.Ismaylova / "I arrived in Azerbaijan in order to intensify works on European project NABUCCO, where Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are participants," said the President of Bulgaria, Georgi Pirvanov, who is on visit to Baku, on 10 March.
Large part of this gas pipeline may be supplied with the resources of Azerbaijan in the future, he said.
Bulgaria may purchase limited volume of gas from Azerbaijan. "We may purchase nearly 1bln cu.m of gas from Azerbaijan, which may be delivered via Turkey and Greece," Pirvanov said. In addition, Bulgaria wants to actively connect Azerbaijan to the new project Burgas-Alexanropolis.
The President of Bulgaria highlighted the importance of intensifying Azerbaijani-Bulgarian economic co-operation, including railway transport. He said that air flights will be opened between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria by the end of September.
