Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 March / Trend / This year, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) intends to commence operating of 15 new wells in the offshore oil and gas field Gunashli - shallow section of which SOCAR develops independently, the company reported. Eight wells will be drilled for the production of oil and seven for the gas.
Recently, SOCAR completed the drilling of a high-debit well- with a depth of 2,665m and daily debit of 130 tons of oil and 20,000 cu m of gas, in the same field. It was drilled from Gunashli-14 platform. According to SOCAR, upper layers of the field are highly productive.
