Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 January / corr. Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) sold its own oil, branded Azeri Light, from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan. The oil is delivered to the Port via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, according to a source at SOCAR. Arcadia Petroleum Limited, a British trader, won the tender.
The volume of oil in the consignment is equal to 950,000 barrels of oil. The shipment is expected to take place between 24 and 26 April.
SOCAR oil consignments from the Ceyhan Port have been purchased by the following companies in 2008:
Arcadia Petroleum Limited -February (1mln barrels);
Arcadia Petroleum Limited - April (950,000 barrels).
