Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 May / Trend / In January-April, Azerigaz CJSC (engaged in gas distribution in Azerbaijan) received over 1.9bln cu m of gas, while in the same period of 2007 it was over 2.4mln, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported. This year over 5.7bln cu m of gas is expected to be supplied to Azerigaz.
SOCAR is the main gas supplier to Azerbaijani gas distribution system. From Jan to April, SOCAR supplied 1,441mln cu m of gas, though in the same period of 2007 it was 1,397mln cu m. This year, SOCAR intends to supply over 3.55bln cu m of gas to Azerigaz.
From January to April, some 246.5mln cu m of gas was supplied to gas transporting system from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli system, while in the same period of 2007 it was 738.5mln cu m. This year 637mln cu m of gas is expected to be supplied from the fields.
In the aforementioned period, Shah Deniz gas and condensate field supplied 247mln cu m of gas to Azerigaz, while in the same period of 2007 it was 282mln. This year the field is expected to supply over 1.5bln cu m of gas.
