Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 May / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ Using of Ukraine's oil refinery power for processing of Azerbaijani oil has no prospects, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported.
According to SOCAR, Ukrainian oil refineries' power is insufficient to process Azerbaijani oil. The most optimal way is to construct a new enterprise. However, availability of SOCAR's own retail network is an obligatory factor (petrol stations) to sale the oil products.
This week, Privatbank group which controls Ukraine's oil refineries Neftekhimik Prikarpatya (Ivano-Frankivsk province) and Halichina (Lviv province) reported that it is negotiating with SOCAR to sell a part of Ukrainian refineries' stocks instead of supply of Azerbaijani oil to the plants.
Neftekhimik Prikarpatya and Halichina each can annually refine 1.5mln tons of Azerbaijani oil.
