Azerbaijan Hold Negotiations with  Russia,  Iran,   Turkey on Electric Energy Export

Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 May / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / Etibar Pirverdiyev, Head of the Azerenergy joint-stock company, stated that Azerbaijan would increase the electric production capacity as a result of construction of the new electric stations to 3,000 KWt/h and it will reach 35bln KWt/h per year in the next few years.

The current production capacity in the electric stations is 25bln KWt/h.

"Increase of the production capacity will able Azerbaijan to implement the electric energy export to other countries in the region," Piriverdiyev stated.

Marlen Askarov, Vice President of Azerenergy, stated that the negotiations have been held with Russia, Iran and Iran on the electric energy export.

The representatives from Iran and Russia will visit Azerbaijan to continue the negotiations on export and transit of the electric energy," Askarov said.
