Oil Products Sale Decreases in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 June / Trend / State Statistics Committee officials reported that from January to May 2008, approximately 2.1mln tons of oil products were sold to the internal market of Azerbaijan, which is 0.6% more compared to the same period of 2007.
Some 326,900 tons of the total volume of oil products was petrol, which is an increase of 15.4% from the previous year. The wholesale price of one ton of А-92 gasoline in the internal market (VAT and transportation costs inclusive) is AZN 670 and А-95 is AZN 736.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January to May the Azerbaijani company Azpetrol obtained 170,600 tons of petrol and LUKoil 52,600 tons.
In January to May 2008 a total of 376,400 tons of diesel fuel was sold to the domestic market, 4.4% more than in 2007. The wholesale price of one ton of diesel fuel is 485 AZN (VAT inclusive).
Azpetrol received 123,500 tons of diesel fuel of the aforementioned amount (LUKoil - 44,000 tons). The Azerbaijani State Caspian Sea Shipping Company purchased 72,000 tons of diesel fuel, as well as almost the whole amount of motor fuel.
Most of all of mazut oil was sold in the internal market. From January to May, 690,300 tons of fuel oil was sold, which is 32.6% more than in the same period of 2007. The wholesale price of 1 ton of М-40 fuel oil in Azerbaijan is AZN 100 (including delivery and VAT). Azerenerji JSC received 431,400 tons of fuel oil and the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Plant 229,200 tons for further refinery.
A total of 214,100 tons of aviation kerosene was sold, 30.2% more than in 2007. The price of aviation kerosene was AZN 307 per ton (including delivery and VAT).
The sale of petroleum bitumen totaled 52,000 tons, an increase of 17.9% from 2007. The wholesale price of 1 ton of bitumen BN 60/90 (VAT and transportation costs inclusive) was AZN 160.
From January to May, 36,300 tons of butane-propane gas (LPG) was sold, 19.3% less compared to the mentioned period in 2007.
The other 400,400 tons of oil products were also sold, more by 15% than in 2007.
