Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 July / Trend / South Korea is setting up a special consortium of the country's largest companies to develop three Caspian Sea blocks it has been offered by Turkmenistan, the South Korean minister of economic knowledge, Lee Youn Ho, said during a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov in Astana this week during celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Kazakh capital, Energy Intelligence Group reports.
Earlier it was reported that state Korean National Oil Corp. would lead the consortium.
A South Korean business delegation will visit Ashkhabad in August, while Berdimuhammedov is due to visit Seoul in the autumn and will most likely meet his South Korean counterpart in Beijing next month within the framework of the Olympic Games.
