Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 July / Trend / In January to May 2008, Azerbaijan imported 183.3mln KW/hour of electric energy (68.2% less than in the same period of 2007), which is worth over $7mln (58.4% less than in the same period of 2007).
Cement clinkers comprised 393,400 tons of the products imported in 2008 (3% less than in 2007) and are worth over $12mln (43.9% less than in 2007). Cement import totalled 494,200 tons (32% more than in 2007) and is worth about $18mln (8.5% less than in 2007).
In January to May, 294,200 gas, water and power meters were imported to Azerbaijan, a decrease of 42% from the same period of 2007. Cost of the imported meters totalled $13.6mln, 8.9% less than in 2007.
