Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 July / Trend corr. E.Ismayilov / The Complex and Geological Inspection and Topography Department in the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to acquire American and English made sea navigations in 2008. One echo-sounding device and one sonar is expected to be purchased to inspect seabed.
"We are planning to purchase new sea navigating equipment to renew the already existed one," the Department said.
Complex and Geological Inspection and Topography Department implements geological inspects by SOCAR order.
Department leases the science and inspection ship Mammad Suleymanov from the Caspian Shipping Company during the inspection works. About 10 workers can work on the ship simultaneously.
