Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 August / Trend / State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported that in July 2008, it drilled 122,785m against 123,349m than in the same period of last year. A total of 18,038m was drilled in July against 19,896m in 2007.
In July, production drilling totaled 119,800m against 119,422m than in the same period of last year. Production drilling comprised 17,393m in July against 19,874m in 2007.
Exploration drilling comprised 2,985m from January to July, which is by 942m less than forecasted than in 2007. Exploration drilling totaled 645 m in July against 22m in the same period in 2007.
