Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 August / Trend , corr E. Ismayilov/ Georgia changes the route for the transport of oil from Azerbaijan and Central Asia to the Black Sea ports of Poti and Batumi because of the explosion of bridge running in this direction on 16 August, State Railway of Azerbaijan said on 18 August.
At the moment, there are six oil tankers in Boyuk-Kasik station (border between Azerbaijan and Georgia), State Railway said.
The bridge was exploded not far from Tbilisi as a result of which transportation of oil and oil products through railway was stopped. The bridge is being repaired at present, State Railway said.
"Works are being carried out to enhance the capacity of the other bridge leading to Poti and Batumi ports which is not suitable for the transportation of such amount of cargo," State Railway said.
The work to enhance the capacity of the bridge is carried out by the railwaymen of Georgia and Azerbaijan.
Goods and passenger trains carry out transportation till Tbilisi on normal regime, State Railway said.
