KazMunaygas Launches National Staff Training for Kashgan Oil Project

Kazakhstan, Astana, 7 November / Trend , corr. K.Konirova /Ermek Marabayev, the Director General of the national KazMunaygas Sea Oil Company, said that company's today's key task is to train staff.

The national company needs over than 300 specialists on 77 positions. Some 274 people, as it is known, will be attached to the Kashgan project.

KazMunaygas has already paid the study for 250 students in different Petroleum Oil Universities in Kazakhstan and abroad. For this purpose a total of $3mln was allocated," Serikbay Elshibayov, the Managing Director, said to journalists.

"Currently, our students are trained in Oil Universities of Atirau, Aktau, Almaty, Moscow and Beijing. The main attention is paid to technical specialties," Elshibayov said.

The conference attended by 170 representatives from 47 companies from Kazakhstan, Russia, the United Kingdom, Scotland, U.S., Nederland and Norway.

The discussion of the key topic of the meeting was held in a new format - this was unofficial discussion atmosphere and free exchange of opinions between experts and oil companies' representatives.
