Subsidiary of Gazprom not to mediate in Russian gas supplies to Ukraine: Prime Minister
Ukraine, Kiev, Jan. 21/ Trend Z. Novsvitski/ Gazpromsbit Ukraine, subsidiary company of Gazprom, won't mediate in Russian gas supplies to Ukraine, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said on Jan. 21.
Gazpromsbit Ukraine has no relation to mediation. The total volume of gas to be supplied to Ukraine will be bought by Naftogaz from Gazprom. No gas will be bought in other way," Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said to press conference on Jan. 21.
Gazprom JSC was qualified to serve 25% of industrial consumers in Ukraine's market, Alexander Medvedev, deputy chairman of Gazprom JSC board, said on Jan. 20.
"This is important part of our agreement which reflects partnership between Naftogaz Ukraine and Gazprom," Medvedev said.
