The Czech-Georgian Energo-Pro Georgia company is now the legal owner of the Ortachala hydroelectric power station in Tbilisi, the Georgian Economic Development Ministry told Trend . The company has paid the full cost of privatization at $25.25 million.
Energo-Pro Georgia purchased Ortachala at an auction on Dec. 19 and has been named the official owner. The state's 100-percent share of OrtachalGES-2007 was placed on the auction block at a starting price of $25 million. Energo-Pro Georgia was the only participant in the auction. The authorized capital of the facility is 1.768 million lari ($1 is 1.6880 lari). Energo-Pro Georgia owns 6 regional energy-distribution networks in Georgia.
