Iranian, Russian gas company heads meet in Tehran

Heads of the Iranian National Gas Company and Russian Gazprom company met in Tehran on April 28, the Iranian television reported.

"Meetings of gas experts and heads of the Iranian and Russian gas companies took place as part of the cooperation agreement," the Iranian National Gas Company's director on research and technology Said Pakseresht said.

He said the meeting of representatives of the two countries' gas companies began on April 27 and lasted on April 28. "The meeting focused perspectives of future gas cooperation, issues of gas pipeline constructions, development of terminals for the storage of gas, export of natural gas and other issues," Pakseresht said.

Pakseresht said that Russia had put forward some proposals at the meeting and they are under study. "It is expected to sign an agreement on joint cooperation at the end of the gas experts meeting," Pakseresht said.
