In January-April 2009, the Baku Oil Refining Plant Named after Heydar Aliyev (former Azneftyanjag) of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) produced over 44,000 tons of liquefied gas, compared to roughly 53,000 tons in January-April 2008.
In March, the oil refinery produced 6,340 tons of liquefied gas.
In 2008, SOCAR produced 181,130 tons of liquefied gas. In 2007, a total of 145,030 tons of liquefied gas was produced. The whole volume of liquefied gas made up butane and butylene fraction.
In 2005 and 2006, 129,620 and 148,220 tons of butane and butylene fraction was produced respectively
In 2008, 2007 and 2006 no propane-propylene fraction was produced. In 2005, a total of 3,020 tons of propane-propylene fraction was produced.
