The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) is exploring the steadiness of sea depths within the framework of construction of two block technological platform, where the gaslift unit system of the May 28 Oil Refining Plant will be focused, a source close to SOCAR said.
"The steadiness of sea depth is exploring in order to launch the construction of platform," the source said.
Construction of the platform, which enters in SOCAR's pgas program, is not expected this year.
Another source from SOCAR said that the Baku Deep Water Jacket Plant Named after Heydar Aliyev is planning to complete the construction of one of the blocks on the new platform by the end of the year.
The height of the new technological platform is 92 metres.
The platform is one of the largest facilities, which is planning to operate within SOCAR's gas program.
