In the coming days, the work will be launched to reconstruct the third power block of the Azerbaijani thermoelectric power station, Azerenergy JSC (Azerbaijan's largest producer of electricity) said on May 15.
Moreover, the reconstruction of the fourth power generating station is under completion.
Currently, four power units are being exploited and two more are on standby and can be used when needed.
The thermoelectric power station processes around 14-15 million kilowatt of electricity per hour each day. It is also possible to increase the station's capacity.
In April, the station had generated 733.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity, which is more than the projected at 3.5 million kilowatt / hour.
