Azerigaz Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) will receive roughly 11 billion cubic meters of gas in 2009, head of the CJSC Alikhan Malikov said on June 2.
"Almost 50-60 percent of the received gas will be transmitted to Azerenergy as a fuel for production, the remained part will be directed to satisfy consumers' interior demands," Malikov said.
Malikov said it is planned to pump some part of the received volume into underground gas-holder to use it in autumn-winter period.
It is planned to pump around 1.4-1.5 billion cubic meters of gas into the gas-holder in 2009. Roughly 225 million cubic meters of gas has been already pumped into the gas-holder.
"But there is remainder of the last year at 640 million cubic meters in the gas-holder and thus, the total volume of the gas amounts to over 800 million at the moment," Malikov said.
