In January-May, SOCAR (excluding joint ventures and operating companies) conducted drilling in the volume of 80,109 meters compared to 87,832 meters for the same period of 2008, SOCAR said.
About 79,879 percent accounted for development drilling and 230 meters for exploration drilling.
In May, SOCAR conducted drilling in the volume of 14,968 meters, 14,873 of which accounted for development drilling.
SOCAR conducted drilling in volume of 202,954 meters compared to 190,376 meters in 2007.
