Azerenerji joint stock company (largest energy producer) has completed overhaul of fourth energy unit of Azerbaijan Thermoelectric Power Station in Mingachevir (295 kilometers outside Baku), company's vice president Marlen Asgarov said.
Asgarov said unit's capacity increased from 300 megawatt to 330 megawatt as a result.
"Overhaul of thermoelectric power station's energy units is expected to fully complete by end of the year," he said. The capacity will reach 2,640 megawatt from the planned 2,400 megawatt
The station composes eight energy units. The capacity will be increased through overhaul of all eight units. Each unit has a capacity of 300 megawatt. Their capacity will reach 330 megawatt as soon as overhaul is completed.
