ADB determines consultant to appreciate climate changes in Azerbaijan

The Asian Development Bank sends consultant Randall Baker to Azerbaijan to research climate changes in Azerbaijan from July 1, Baku's representation of Asian Development Bank Rafael Abbasov said on June 23. 

"Its task includes analyses of sector, review of some spheres to estimate state of climate as a result of emission of carbonic acid in atmosphere during a month," Abbasov said.

This research will be held within technical aid to 10 countries from Central Asia, Caucasus, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The Asian Bank approved technical aid in the amount of $5 million for estimation of climate changes in these 10 countries in April. Roughly $1 million was designated for Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan became the first country submitted bid to the bank by confirming intention to get support for research. But the Asian Development Bank positively appreciated readiness of the country to solve this issue rapidly. 

Climate changes will be estimated within ecological strategy of Azerbaijan.
