Jordon and Turkmenistan have common opinions for energy security

The Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov and king Abdallah II of Jordon stressed coincidence of opinions of both countries concerning modern urgent problem - provision with energy security during the meeting in capital of Hashemite kingdom of Amman, national TV channel Altin Asir said on June 30. 

Berdymukhamedov expressed gratitude to Abdallah II for support of Turkmen side's initiative fixed by special resolution of UN General Assembly and directed to ensure reliable and stabile transportation of energy respurces on the world markets and protection of the international energy infrastructure. 

In his turn, Abdallah II stressed that visit of the Turkmen president is appreciated as not only important page in history of inter-state dialogue acquiring qualitative new dynamics but significant action towards strengthening and extension of traditional ties.

"Success of political dialogue is good basis to accelerate trade-economic relations. Their current state does not fully meet existing economic and resource potential," Berdymukhamedov said.

Taking into account existing potentialities to increase volumes of foreign trade and implement joint projects in different spheres, he stressed necessity in correction of practice of regular contacts through governments and active drawing of private sector representatives.

The sides stood for development of trade-economic relations paying attention to complementary economics of countries. Priority directions of joint activity representing mutual interest include chemical industry, transport, communication, telecommunication, industrial constriction industry, agrarian industrial complex, etc.  

Experience of Jordon partners in extraction of minerals, including phosphorite and potash salts, as well as production of mineral fertilizers in new, very prospective direction of Turkmen economy will be useful for Turkmenistan, Berdymukhamedov said.

Moreover, experience and potentialities of Jordon companies can be claimed in projects realized in the country, such as creation of Avaza national tourist zone on the coast of the Caspian Sea, construction of transnational railroad with way to Persian Gulf, etc.
