Naftogaz does not yet have real plan on a way out of the gas crisis, Ukrainian President's Special Envoy for Energy Affairs Bogdan Sokolovski said.
"Unfortunately, the debts will rise until the end of the year which seriously concerns the [Ukrainian] president which constantly requires concrete actions," Sokolovski said Trend correspondent in Kiev.
He said Ukraine has the same gas supply as in case of USSR. "It is not a market economy when you buy gas at market prices and sell it at the State Plan prices."
"Our first task is to establish market relations in the gas sector. Yushchenko has spoken about it from the very beginning of his presidency. He constantly says there is no need to increase gas prices. No one says there is a need to do this. But this leads to lower revenues in the budget," Sokolovski said.
