Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug.4 / Trend E.Ismayilov /
At present, the average gas feed of Bakgaz (distribution and sale of gas to Baku) under the Azerigas Production Unity (PU), to the Baku gas feed system is 3.5 million cubic meters compared to 3.4 million cubic meters in the early August, a source in the company said.
The gas consumption in Baku slightly increased and now averages about 3.5 million cubic meters of gas per day due to cool weather conditions, the source said.
The PU transferred more than 1.6 billion cubic meters of domestic gas to the gas feed system of Baku in the January-July, the source said earlier.
The PU transferred about 109 million cubic meters of natural gas to the gas feed system of the capital in July, compared to more than 114 million cubic meters in June. In May, about 141 million cubic meters was handed over the system.
The PU transferred about 2.45 billion cubic meters of gas to the gas feed system of Baku in 2008.
In 2008, the PU completely refused to transfer to seasonal regime of gas feed (winter and summer) to the gas system of the city. Now the amount of gas depends on the demand of consumers. Earlier, in summer season daily gas supply was 3-4 million cubic meters, whilst in winter it reached 10-13 million cubic meters.
