Sultan of Oman, Qaboos bin Said, has invited the Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimukhamedov to pay an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the governmental press service said on August 25.
The report said that the invitation was conveyed by Arabian Minister of Oil and Gas, Al Rumhi Mohammed bin Hamad Saif. He arrived in Ashgabat and was received by the Turkmen President. "In my country everybody pays great attention and admires achievements of modern Turkmenistan", the guest said.
Berdimukhamedov expressed confidence that the exchange of visits at the highest level will serve a new inter-governmental dialogue based on openness, trust and mutual respect. He also invited the Omani leader to visit Turkmenistan at any convenient time.
The interlocutors exchanged views on prospects of cooperation in oil and gas sector, strategic for the economies of both countries.
Berdimukhamedov invited the Omani partners to participate in projects to accelerate volumes of production and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as create new routes of its transport on the world markets.
Oman's Minister of Oil and Gas, stressed extraordinary potential of the Turkmen market stipulated by huge hydrocarbon reserves and favorable terms for foreign business.
