At present, about 850,000 barrels of oil are pumped via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan daily, a source in Azerbaijani oil industry said.
About 100,000 barrels of oil per day is pumped via the western pipeline route of Baku - Supsa. This pipeline was ceased for repair operations within two years. However, oil pumping via this route has been resumed since late 2008.
Oil pumped via these routes, is extracted at Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli. Average daily oil production at oil fields hits 900,000 barrels. Certain part of oil pumped via Baku - Tbilisi - Ceyhan oil pipeline, about 40,000 barrels, fall on Kazakh oil extracted Tengiz field (operator Chevron).
Construction of BTC was worth $4 billion. These funds are spent for construction operations. Filling of the pipeline, financial expenses and payment of bank interest rates are not included.
BTC Company Shareholders includes: BP (30.1 percent); AzBTC (25 percent); Chevron (8.90 percent); Statoil Hydro (8.71 percent); ТРАО (6.53 percent); Eni (5 percent); Total (5 percent); Itochu (3.40 percent); Inpex (2.50 percent); ConocoPhillips (2.50 percent) and Hess (2.36 percent).
The Azerbaijan International Operating Company is operator of Baku-Supsa pipeline, including participants of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli developemnt.
